Bell times from the school’s daily schedule. Same every day, Fridays included.

Child away today?
Email, please don’t call. Write to your child’s teacher or hanshelgesen@sd62.bc.ca with a short reason — cough, cold, fever or trip. Arriving after the 8:30 bell? Check in at the office. How the school handles absences.
Fees and forms
Say yes or no to the district consents at the SD62 consent portal, then pay school fees and sign permission forms at School Cash Online. Both use the email you gave the school.
Report cards and absences
Report cards, your child’s contact details and attendance live in the MyEd BC parent portal. Create the account on a laptop the first time.

Hot lunch
Hot lunch is back, on Munch-a-Lunch
Popcorn days come first, with pizza and more Fridays to follow before January. Order online — no cash, no forms; lunches come straight to the classroom.
What’s coming
- Popcorn daysFirst up. The first orders closed Fri, Sep 25; more days are posted as they open.
- Pizza daysRun by Aimee, as before. Adding pizza to Munch-a-Lunch is being looked at.
- More FridaysIsland Chef and Booster Juice are being explored, with a regular schedule after January.
How to order
Make a Munch-a-Lunch account with your child’s name and division, then pick the days you want. Each lunch has its own order deadline, shown when you order.
Where the money goes
Hot lunch days are a small fundraiser for the PAC. Munch-a-Lunch costs the PAC about $300 a year and means families pay no card fees.
Need a hand with the cost?
Email us — it stays between us. Munch-a-Lunch lets us quietly cover a meal, so no child misses a hot lunch day.

No fee, nothing to sign. Come to a meeting when you can — usually once a month in the evening, kids welcome — or just email. A parent volunteer will get back to you.
